Description: Savor the charm of staying in a traditional Pennsylvania farmhouse and enjoy your privacy, with the security of knowing that the proprietors are next door if needed. Steeped in family and local history, the three bedroom white frame guest house grew from the simple 1850's stone homestead house which has been in our family for four generations. It evolved into separate living quarters for the three Straup sisters in the 1930's and into the bed and breakfast as you see it today. Our Country Style home still has many of the furnishings which the sisters enjoyed blended with cottage accents complementary to their time. Today Straup House is located in a quiet residential area of Palmerton. Our tree lined lot is one of the largest in town, is within walking distance of town, the Palmerton Pool and a lovely nature trail (great for bird watching).
Other Amenities: Our guest bedrooms are located on either side of the house making either choice (one room with a king bed ... one with a queen bed) convenient to sharing the bathroom with other guests. The house is ideal for a family on a skiing vacation or for two couples vacationing together.
